Polynesian Dining Experience

What would you expect from the ultimate Polynesian experience, but the ultimate dining experience? The all-you-can-eat menu reflects ancient recipes and Hawaiian favorites such as:
Poi – a food of great importance to the Hawaiian people and enjoyed today at family gatherings. Poi, made from the taro root is one of Hawaii’s most nutritious foods. If you haven’t had poi before, you may enjoy it with one of the many meat options available to you.

Kalua Pua’a – Roasted Pork, the traditional luau feast! Prepared in the traditional imu (underground oven) and slow roasted for hours. Where else can you find such flavorful and moist pork?

Poke – Discover an island favorite. Raw fish marinated in citrus juice and a little coconut cream. The Polynesian Cultural Center’s recipe is the Tahitian interpretation of the poke most often found in Hawaii restaurants, which is raw fish marinated in sea salt, onions and seaweed (limu).

Lomi Lomi Salmon – diced salmon tossed with onions and tomatoes, introduced by western sailors and still popular today, its tangy taste is the perfect foil to poi.

Pipi Kaula – these tasty treats, seasoned beef jerky were also introduced by western sailors who brought barrel’s of salted beef. On some Polynesian islands, it is still possible to buy salted beef by the barrel.

Teriyaki Chicken – Though not on a traditional luau menu, it reflects the Asian influences in Polynesian foods today.

Chicken Long Rice – Also called thread or bean noodles, mixed with chicken for a mild and delicate dish.

Deep Fried Island Fish – Have you ever had truly fresh fish? White and flaky and deep fried, served with purple Hawaiian potatoes.

Taro Rolls – Every had so much purple food? These rolls are purple from the taro flour used to make them! Another food made possible by the incredible taro root.

Salads – Also on the menu is a variety of tossed fresh salads including spinach salad, cucumber-carrot salad and sweet potato salad.

Cold Fruits – Island pineapple and watermelon (in season)

Dessert – Haupia (coconut custard), Chocolate Cake, Coconut Cake.

Beverages – (all sodas are decaffeinated): Coca-cola, Sprite, Diet Pepsi, Root Beer, Fruit Punch, Passion-Orange-Guava (POG) juice,

Alcohol is not served at the Polynesian Cultural Center.
